Google Analytics shows you how people found your site, how they explored it, and how you can enhance their visitor experience. With this information, you can improve your website return on investment, increase conversions and make more money with your store.
Your store admin will interact directly with your Google Analytics data to perform reports and generate traffic stats.
Enter your Account Name, Website Name, Website URL.
Select the industry/category for your website.
Select your country & time zone.
Select the Get Tracking ID button
Once your account is registered, Google will provide you with Code to paste on your site. If you are using a pre-built theme, you can skip this step as it will be automatically installed.
Grant access to your new Google Analytics account.
From the General Settings / Google Analytics account, click on the obtain token button. You will be redirected to Google's site where you will be asked to grant permission. Continue with this step and grant access.
You will then be redirected to your store admin where your Analytics accounts are now available.
If you have more than one account, you can choose which one you want to use from the drop down list.
After you configuration is complete, it can take several hours before data is gathered on your account.
Enabling E-Commerce for your reports
The first step of tracking e-commerce transactions is to enable e-commerce reporting for your website's profile:
1. Sign in to your account.
2. Click Edit next to the profile that you'd like to enable.
3. On the Profile Settings page, click Edit next to Main Website Profile Information.
4. Change the E-Commerce Website radio button from No to Yes.
