I am trying to convert the xml file to txt...have found several websites that discuss it, but any helpful programs that do this (FREE! or cheap) would be appreciated.  Any help at all in fact would be great.  I am desperate to get into these Bing searches.

I don't understand to get into Bing searches to do a file that way? I just submit my sites to bing searches as a url address, and I have had hits from them by doing that.

Adding your URL to Bing is the same as adding your URL to Google.   However, if you want to be included in Bing's shopping (just as being included in Google's shopping) you need to submit a feed of your items.    Highwire submits our feed to Google, but so far has not developed a feed for Bing.  Some have set it up manually, but many of us are hoping Highwire will set up a Bing Feed.

If you have not already done so, submit your site to Bing to show up in their organic searches.  This can be done at this url:

As Carolyn says, the feed is for Bing shopping.  Shopping and organic searches are two different parts of the picture.
