You must have set your Facebook Highwire app for friends or friends of friends. If so no one can see it except friends. I set mine up for everyone so everyone can go to it. Here is the link to my Personal Profile page: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#!/billydmabe.

Tomas, I had much rather have it on the business fan page for that is where people go to talk business. If you post too many comments on your personal page friends will block you for they are there to chit-chat and not talk business.  I learned this when I first joined facebook. I filled the personal page with all kind of items and they complained and blocked me. So I just put a few items at a time so not to bother everyone. Besides when they are on your personal site they are either on the facebook page or home page and that is about it. Not many will go to the profile.

It loaded perfectly and works great. I have not attempted on a purchase or anything yet but will and let you know.

Yes, my privacy settings are set to "friends only".  I have over 2000 friends, so it's not much of an issue.  I do this to keep a few nosy competitors from spying on my promotions.  LOL

If we have more than one Facebook page (personal profile, fan/business page, group), is there any way we can add the tab to all of our pages?  I'm the opposite of Billy with this one, I'd rather have it on my personal page because that is where I concentrate my time on FB.  But it would be nice to also have it on my fan page and group page.  But, if I could only pick one, I'd have it on my personal profile where it is now.  :)

On the Business Fan Page I have searched high and low for the highwire app. It is not showing up yet. But as soon as I find it on the Fan Page It will add it and then I can add the tab on the discussion. I will keep searching until it shows up.

Boy it looks great on the personal page. I will keep posting posting on my business page to go to the profile page to fiind it.

I'm having the same problem.  Added it to my personal profile just fine.  The tab is added to my business page but this is the message that displays when the tab is clicked:

How did you two get the highwire commerce tab. I cannot find it in the fan page to add it to the tab. Personal profile is great but I want mine on the fan page.

I'm getting the same message when I try to add it to my Fan Page.   "store requested is not associated with current Facebook profile or fan page..."

But the set up on my Personal page was EASY and it looks beautiful.   Hope we can get this on our Fan pages soon.

I was able to add the tab to my Fan Page in addition to my Personal Page.   Go to this link http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=137036186323012 and click on Add to my Page.   Then go to your Facebook Fan Page and select Edit Page.  Under Applications select "add this tab..".  If you get the message referenced above go back to the BISI  Marketing Tab and get your Facebook Key and reenter it.  

I now have the shop tab active on both my personal and fan page.   This is WONDERFUL...

Okay I got it!    Wheee was it a lot of work too..... not really! You have to go to the highwire app, then click on add to page. Then you have to go to your page and click on edit page. Then you scroll down to the highwire app and click on edit. A page will pop up for you to enter you key, save it. Then go back to your edit page again and click on the application settings. It will say available, you need to add it. Then your done.

Not to shabby for me just poking around.

Sweet!  I got it.  I now have it working on my personal and fan page! :)

I just wasn't going to the right place previously.  I was trying to add it from my page itself, and not using the "add to my page" link from the application page.  Now it works.  :)

Well I finally got it. I was trying too hard and forgot too many steps. Once you get it done you reliaze how easy it was.

Tomas this is great! Easy instructions for the main facebook profile, but was a little confusing getting the additional pages to show the Shop tab. We got it! Looks good.   One problem I think I discovered.  When I click on any of our items that have variants with options the photo will not change to show the option or style you are clicking on.  It will allow you to select from different options, but you cannot see what it looks like.  It stays with the default photo of the item and will not change.  I have gone back and forth from our actual highwire store to the intgergrated facebook link and it works fine on the highwire page but just not on the facebook Shop page.  Other than that this will be great. Why is it that my shop seems to be crowded in the middle of the page, between the right and left columns? The others I've seen don't have the right and left columns and do not appear as crowded.

The page looks more spread out on my personal Facebook Page.  On my Fan Page it appears in the middle between the two columns.  This is probably a restraint by Facebook.   When I looked at yours however it seemed spread out.

I just checked your link and it looks perfect with IE8 and Firefox. It could be your screen settings such as 800x600 or 1024x800 or something like that. But on my computer it is perfect.

That is one thing people do not understand is what you see on your computer may not  be what everybody else will see. To set a site up at it's best you should check it with different settings and different web browsers.

Suggestions:

1.  Since it really "should" be on business pages, perhaps you could add the directions for doing so to the instructions you have a link to in the initial post here.  (Otherwise, lots of us will be going in the same circles trying to find how to do it)  

And, add it as one of the FAQs on the application screen (those are very nice, BTW!)

#2   I'd love it if the catagories with nothing in them did not show in the browse catagories list. 

#3   Id really like to see the wording "View Cart" stay on the page after an item is added to it.    I know the way to get there is to click ....X Items in Cart....      But, a very good portion of my market is not as saavy as to realize that.      

I see "View Cart" IS there, but is replaced once something is added to the cart.    Maybe replace "You have" with "View"  (So it would say "View 2 items in your cart" )

Well I had no trouble at all setting it up on my personal facebook but for the life of me I cannot figure how to get it on my Jmart Store facebook page. I continue getting this message

jmart- I had the same problem at first.   Go to your "pages" and click on "edit page".  Then scroll down to find the highwire app and click edit again.  You will have to enter your Highwire key again in this place as well.

Here is how to add the tab to all of your pages.  Go to the Application's home page (not your home page), and click on the "add to my page" link.  This will open a dialogue window that will allow you to add the app to all of your pages.  Here is a direct link to it -.....well crud, I can't find the link now.  Maybe someone can post it.

I'm probably one of the few, but I don't have an actual profile, just the 'fan' page. It won't let me add this via the instructions provided because I don't have the the same links as shown. It won't show up via the 'Edit Page' like jubilee mentioned either after entering the code.

A few suggextions:

1. When setting it up in Highwire store admin, make the  "Connect With Facebook" button open in a new window or tab, since you need the key on that page to set things up & have to go back to it to get it.  Small thing, but really annoying.
2. Seems to be cutting off longer descriptions
3. The cart thing is not intuitive - How about a check-out button?
4. Is it possible to have the page tab arrow on the top & bottom?  You scroll down to the bottom to see all the items & then have to scroll back to the top to get to the next page
5. Where do additional photos go?  Is it possible to see them?  They are a very important part of the description in a lot of my items.  If it is not possible to do this, can there be a link to the store page for items?
6. Can there be a link to our regular store somewhere here?  I have made my items visible to the whole web, but only Facebook members can purchase through this application,  so it is conceivable that somewhere down the line, somebody would find an item who does not have a Facebook account & does not want to open one just to buy something from one of us.
7. When I tested the carts of various stores, some come up with Google Checkout & PayPal, but most come up with just Google Checkout.  Is this a setting that needs to be changed somewhere by the store owner?

I do realize that some of these things may be Facebook constraints that cannot be changed, but thought they were all worth mentioning.

Quick question.  I have a custom site built by Jennifer at BISI. Worked great!  I did however had to go the the highwire app page that Thomas gave above.  Once I did that I clicked on add to my page and got it on my business page.  When I did it through highwire, it wanted to go on my personal profile.  So, going to the fb page for highwire app worked great!

Thank you for doing this!  I had been doing it all manually by using payvment.  This is so much better and a TIME SAVER by having it link to our googlebase feed and Highwire account.

If you already have your page for everyone... then you will need to click on "edit your page" and then add the key again.

To do this:

1. log into your page

2. Under your Avatar/picture on the left side click on"Edit Page"

3. Scroll down your page till you get to the applications settings and then find "highwire" and click on "edit"

4. Re-enter your key that you got off your highwire admin and then click save key

Exclusivevines, this is something strange happening with your domain redirect. This is caused by your domain registrar. I would contact them to resolve this.

MY STORE TAB IS EMPTY on both profile and fan page. I have followed the tutorial to the letter and get no error messages. My privacy settings are set to share with everyone. Maybe it's just me but I also could not see glitterfelts.com items on facebook store tab nor could I see insidetherockposter items 9they're the only ones I tried). Maybe it's just me or is there an issue with this app?

 Also I cannot see Cheris Organics. Something is def wrong with this app. Would be cool though.. oh well

My shop tab was working perfectly until today.  I have put in a support ticket.   Perhaps the "disappearance" of the items is related to the new announcement from Tomas re URL Changes.

Since this plug-in is tied to Facebook, it's bound to have a few glitches every now and then, and it probably won't be Highwire's fault.  Facebook is a mess sometimes and it runs glitchy from time to time all on it's own. 

Profile seems to work perfect. But on my page not so much. I don't even see some of the stuff people are talking about. When I go to the Highwire page to click on "Add to my page" that isn't there. All I see is "Go to Application". If i click on that i enter my Key. It only says key saved. So I go to my page and look for the App, but its not there in the list at all. The directions for this are really bad. Since some things in the directions are left out or are in " " and called something else. Or maybe i'm doing it wrong.

Anyone know what i'm doing wrong on this? Why isn't the App adding to my page?

I took the shop tab of my profile page while doing some editing to the page. Now I can't get it back. I have 2 fan pages and am able to add the shop tab to those pages no problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

According to Tomas, Facebook is taking App tabs (including our Shop Page) off the personal profile pages.   These tabs will remain on the business page.   If true, Facebook is probably not letting you add the application to your personal page.
