I’m very excited to announce the initial release of the Highwire REST API. Our RESTful API will allow sellers and developers to tightly integrate new and existing services with your Highwire store.

What does the new API give developers access to? With our initial API release you can create and manage products and inventory, fully manage store categories, and perform order management and updating.

Future updates to the API will offer additional resources for managing store appearance/themes, creation and management of discount codes, gift certificates, url redirects, custom pages and more. We also have some great client libraries under development for PHP, .NET and Ruby. Stay tuned for updates coming soon.

The API is available now for all premium accounts and developer accounts. We've written extensive documentation to assist you in your development and also set up a dedicated support forum.
