Why change perform action?

When you click perform action and marked shipped with tracking it does not change to shipped you have to go and click on it again why it was fine before now it is a two step process also when i want to print a copy for my records it is not available now i have to print the whole invoice it saves me on color for my printer if i do not have to print color header

What I've noticed is that the "email customer" popup window under "perform action" has been lowered on the screen. I now have to stop and scroll down on the screen to see and click on either the "send email" or "cancel" buttons. An extra step now that's very annoying.

I just tested the ship action and confirmed it is in fact marking the order as shipped. When you choose to print an order, you have the option of printing for your records or a customer receipt.

Shirley, nothing has changed with the order of the perform action button. It's the same layout it's been been for quite a while. "send email" is located in the same spot.

Tomas, I don't think Shirley is talking about the drop down menu but actually the box that pops up after we click either email customer or print order. That seems to have moved further down so that we have to scroll down to fill it out.

Yes it has changed and now we do not have the option to  print for our records and the customer is getting to emails on shipped order one we we fill in tracking info and second when we change badge from processing to shipped very annoying and yes the screen is lower so we have to scrol down to fill in tracking and printing

When you click on shipped it still shows badge as processing not shipped so you have to click on it again after updating shipped

Tomas, Dale is correct. I'm not referencing the drop down box where you make a "perform action" selection. I'm  talking about the pop up window you get AFTER you select "email customer". The email popup window used to cover most of the items title. Now that popup window has dropped lower on the screen. I can see all of the items title in the grayed screen behind the popup window... but now I can't see the popup window action buttons without scrolling down on my screen so I can see the bottom of the popup window (e.g., can't see the "cancel" or "send email" buttons).

It also use to change badge to shipped automatically when you clicked on shipped and tracking, now you have to update and then click on your badge as shipped

I agree about the new issue of the location of the print, order tracking, email, or similar function action area (don't know what the actual programming term is) -- it is now much lower on the screen and often requires scrolling. It can't be moved from its fixed position. It quite annoying. This is new in the last week or so.

We did make a change to the pop up windows that may have affected lower vertical resolution users. We made some adjustment that should accomodate this and prevent you from scrolling.

thenaturecompany, nothing has changed with the print functions. You can still print receipts and records as always. Can you elaborate on what you are seeing different?

Tomas,  I have a 24 inch wide-screen monitor with a resolution of 1920x1080. I do not have a "lower vertical resolution".

I'm seeing no change in the popup window... and I'm unable to see the action buttons without scrolling. The popup window is aligned perfectly with the very bottom of window it pops up in front of. There is NO way for me to get to those action buttons without scrolling.

When you click on order tracking click order shipped and add tracking information order label would change to shipped now you have to click on shipped to change label so now its a two step process rather than one if this makes since. Also before i could print an invoice for our records or for customer the one for our records did not have a header on it, no big deal but for me it saves on color ink lol.

Tomas... thank you so much!!!   The popup window is back to its original position... and no scrolling needed to get to the action buttons. YEA!!!

BTW...   I'm not seeing any change in the shipping/tracking actions required. I have always had to check the "shipped" box and also enter the tracking number. The info is updating correctly just as it always has in the past. Just FYI....

No it has changed when you clicked the box shipped and update it would change your label to shipped i mark a order processing when i am packing an order then shipped when i get tracking... but anyway ill just deal with it no big deal
