Do not use Merchant Warehouse!

I thought that I needed to start looking for another payment processor so that I could have more control over my processing. I signed up with Merchant Warehouse and last Tuesday started processing orders with them. When my account was put on hold for no good reason, I switched back over to Propay on Friday. In the meantime they are holding my $450 dollars worth of charges until all products are delivered and they get confirmation directly from the customer that they are happy and not going to return the items. I am sure my customers are going to think that I am some kind of rip off artist or something when they get a telephone call from these people checking up on me. I have been processing orders through Propay for the last two years and never once had a chargeback. I am also a Paypal Advantage customer, and have never had a problem processing orders with them either. I just can't believe that they would do this to me, if the sales guy would have told me this I would have told him to jump off a cliff. I can understand if I was a new seller, but they had to get my records from Propay before they approved me, so they know there was no chargebacks for all of last year. I am just pissed!

2/3 Update: Now that all fees have been removed from my bank account, I have made a complaint to the BBB and am asking for all fees to be refunded.

As well you should be , what they are doing is border line illegal , they can only get away with this crap because of the contracts that they have and nobody takes them to court because the merchants are to busy making a living. Sorry to hear about your trouble but at least you got out quickly.

I wish I would have listened to my husband when he said, "If it's not broke, don't fix it." At least I switched back right away as soon as I new there was a problem. I really could use the money now though, since our pipes froze up and busted yesterday. These larger companies just don't care about the small guys, when every dollar counts. I mean, where is the sales rep? I have called and left messages, and still nothing.

Since I told them that I will not use their service anymore after this debacle, they will not take the risk and give me my money for 6 mos. So my only option is to refund all the transactions and reprocess them through Propay. Hopefully they send me cc info, but I am not going to hold my breathe. If I can't have the money, I sure as hell am not going to let those bastards have it!

Make sure you check the contract to see if they have any legal right to hold your money. Also check where the home office is and file a complaint with local DA and BBB at the very least this should may be able to be done online or over the phone. The whole thing sounds like the company maybe outside the law as the contract has to be valid in the state in which you are doing business. Just food for thought

At least file a BBB complaint against these scammers.  You can do it online.  It might not do much, but it will get another complaint on file.  They already have 81 on file.  They are a BBB member.  They have been probably refunding when they get these complaints. Here is their BBB report:

That is exactly what I think I will do. Seems like the best way to get refunded for all the fees they have charged me.
