Categories - How to edit a category

This lesson describes the steps of editing an existing category.

Go to the Catalog/Categories menu and click the "edit" icon.

Enter your category name (required)

Enter your category name which will be shown in your category list. The maximum length of a category name is 50 characters. For display purposes, it's best to be as short and descriptive as possible.

Enter your URL handle

Enter your category URL handle. If you want to have the URL handle autmoatically generated, leave this empty. What is a URL Handle?

Select a Parent Category (required)

Choose a parent for your new category by selecting it in the list. If "No Parent Category" is selected, it will be treated as a root category.

Enter your SEO Details (optional)
