The Facebook - Page Exchange and Tip Marketing Thread link turned out to be a very successful link for us FaceBook users. Since I read that link I have learned a lot about FaceBook. So I thought I would pass this along to new users and those that do not have a FaceBook account.

1. If you do not have a facebook page: Go to FaceBook and set up a personal account first. This will be in your personal name or what ever you can get by with.

2 Once you have a personal FaceBook page Go to the very bottom of the page to the right and click on Help Center. In the second section you will see

Facebook Applications and Features now click on  Pages for Businesses  Now click on Admins: Creating, administering, and editing your Page  Look for How can I create a Page? Click here and follow the instuctions. Now you can use your store name.

How can I follow fans. I just learned this from the Facebook - Page Exchange and Tip Marketing Thread. You can go to my facebook page and click on discussions on the tab. You will see posts and one name Link Love or something similiar to that. FaceBook Page owners have started this and it is growing. First click on the facebook link and go to that facebook page. At the top of the page you will see become a fan. Click on that and you become a fan. Now click on the white text box which says What's on your mind. Type in I am your newest fan or something about like that. Right under that box you will see the word attach and the first icon is for a link. Click on link and copy and paste or type in your new FaceBook Page url. This means this FaceBook Page owner should go to your fan page and become a fan for you. While you are still on the first fan page you clicked on find the discussion tab and go to the last entry or last page of entries and in the empty box type in your information. You can look at some of the other entries to get an idea of what it should look like. Now enter your web page url, your facebook fan page url, twitter page, blog and any other links you have.

3. Back at your facebook fan bag on the tab box if discussions is not there click + to the right and add a discussion tab. Now start your own Link Love links.

4. If you have a blog at Google blogspot or wordpress click on the tab + again and add a blog tab. Look in the applications or going back to the help center look for Networked Blog. Follow the instructions and it will put your blog on the Blog tab on your facebook page.

Hope this little bit of information may help the none users and new users of FaceBook. Why even mess with FaceBook. We do it for the business, Links, the more times your URL, Domain name is put on the web the sooner you make it to page 1 of the search engine. Besides, someone my just stop by your facebook page and click on one of your post about the product or products you are selling.

Good Luck,

Billy

I've found a neat Facebook tradition called "Link Love".  A page owner starts a thread on their Discussion tab, named "Link Love", and invites fans to post their links on that thread.

So I started Link Love threads on my pages.  Just become a fan (or "like" the page, it''s going to be soon), click on "Discussion", and post your links under "Link Love".

Does anybody else give Link Love? :-)

A tip Ill shoot out there is.... dont blast out all  your products - either to your page, or to your friends.   I hide people who send out too much.   Wether its people I know who post 10 times a day, always about what they are cooking or how much laundry they have, or people I met as sellers, who now post 10 references a day to their products, their blog, whatever.

Less is more, in my opinion.

Ive seen a lot of people have a business name as a personal account.  I do not prefer that.      When you make a "page' for a business (as described at the begining of this thread) people who look at that CANNOT see what you post in your personal account, and they would not be your "friends", so its totally totally seperate.... I dont know why people have a "person" account for their business.   Im sure there are reasons.... but, it kinda bugs me (so what!   do whatever you want, bugging me isnt a reason to stop doing anything  :))
